Dr Lim qualified in medicine from the University of WA in 1992, followed by his fellowship of General Practice in 2000. He has completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of New South Wales.
Dr Lim has special interests in the fields of Sports Medicine, and musculoskeletal injury. He has worked with a number of elite sporting clubs including Wildcats Basketball Club, WAFL South Fremantle Football club and AIS – AFL National Academy. Currently, he is the Medical Officer for WAFL Claremont Football Club, WAFL U16 and U18 Football Academy, NRL WA Pirates, and Match Day Doctor for Greater Western Sydney.
Dr Lim has been performing ultrasound guided joint injections since 2010 after completing MSK US workshop at Australian Institute of Ultrasound, and regularly attends meetings to up-skill his knowledge. He is able to offer Corticosteroid, Sclerotherapy, Hyaluronic acid (Synvisc and Durolane) or Platelet Rich Plasma for the treatment of various sports related injury and osteoarthritis.
His other interests include Surgical Assisting, Travel Medicine, Dermatoscopy for skin cancers and minor surgery. He has a good working relationship with numerous experienced Physiotherapists in Perth and values their continued professional interactions.
Dr Lim is available for appointments on Monday, Tuesday (fortnightly), Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (Fortnightly), he is currently accepting new patients.
